Just like mommy, daig ang punctual...

daig pa sa punctual, baby Jerard Danniel came way ahead of schedule...At 38-39 weeks, he decided it was unfair of his mom and dad to be celebrating new year when he could also join them...saka i think he was growing nervous of the plans being made by his titos and titas to go to Norzagaray, Bulacan (a couple of hrs away from Manila) for an overnight post-Christmas and pre-New Year family reunion.

so, right after hearing that plan, Jerard Danniel aka Jedai aka OB-1 decided to put a little pressure on mommy's tummy. At 3:30 am, mommy knew it was time to go to the hospital. Without labor pains (well, the type being shown in the movies, with all that yelling and screaming), I was scheduled for a 6 am C-section (to allow my doctor to remove an old dermoid cyst as well). The rest, of course, is history.

Got the DVD from In My Womb yesterday, and so, without much ado, may we (Jam and I) present....

Berry Pancakes

I've been badgering hubby for strawberries for a while now...and not because I'm "infanticipating" but because I'm dying to make strawberry pancakes. I scoured SM grocery for strawberries, but came to nil. So I settled for good old strawberries in can.

Not only that, last week, I bought a 170-gram pack of dried blueberries. When I was shopping at Shopwise, everything was topsy-turvey. They were moving merchandise around. So I was shocked to see dried blueberries in one of the shelves. I got the shock of my life when the cashier punched in the price. At 320, it's more than I bargained for..so I figured I might as well maximize the blueberries.

So, here it goes...blueberrie pancakes with strawberry sauce.

November Birthday Girls

Nagbirthday si Weng at si Abi. Syemet, dagukan nyo ko't di ko sila nabati on time. Anyway, better late than always. Ay, better always than never...never mind. Huli man at magaling, basta pag friends, naihahabol din.

Maligayang pasko sa inyo, Abi at Weng. Na late man ang birthday greetings ko, sa inyong dalawa, advance ang Christmas wishes ko.

I Love New York...

I LOVE NEW YORK! O di ba pang teleserye. I went to New York last sunday and i loved it. Ngayon lang kasi ako talaga nakapasyal dun. Yung punta ko 2 weeks ago was for an interview and did not have the time to experience the big apple. First stop, world trade center. Grabe, heart wrenching if you see the place with your own two eyes. There was a board there with all the names of the victims of 9/11. I saw a name, Maria Ramirez , on it. Kuhaan ko sana ng picture. Anyway, next destination...chinatown. Nothing new, parang nasa 168 Divisoria Mall lang ako.


Sumakit lang paa ko kakalakad. After lunch, Central park is next. Fortunately, I saw the New York City marathon runners. Sayang, di ko naabutan si Lance Armstrong (Tour de France winner). Di ko alam na nandun din pala sila Sen. Pia Cayetano and Fernando Zobel, eh di sana na-cheer ko sila. Libo-libo naman pala kasali dun (kaya nga eh largest marathon in the world). So i wasn't able to appreciate Central park in all its glory because of the event. I vowed to come back soon before winter arrives.


Third stop on my list was Times square. Nice! Maraming lights. Dito pala ginagawa yung New Year's Eve countdown. I walked around a bit to see the different broadway shows (yung labas lang po, mahal kasi pag nanuod). Took a picture in front of the longest running broadway show, Phantom of the Opera. This sunday, manunuod naman kami ni sister Rochelle ng Spamalot sa Broadway. Sana masulit binayad nya (mahal eh $100!!).

Last stop, Rockefeller center. Nagsimba muna sa St. Patrick's Cathedral. It's huge! Then off to rockefeller....

Ang ganda lalu na pag gabi. I was hoping na pag nakabalik ako, try ko mag -ice skating (ala britney spears who was skating at the rockefeller center after filing for divorce from husband K-fed). Sobrang sakit na ng legs ko by this time kakalakad. So had to go home. May 1 hr din byahe ng train. Next weekend ulit, panibagong New York experience. Ciao!

Meks' Reply at Multiply...Drama!!!

i've known weng since prep, but we became really close when we were i think in grade 4. grabe na sa tagal. all of my secrets, alam nya.mula bata ako up to the time na i secretly got married, she was the first one to know.but of course sya naman talaga una makakaalam ng secret marriage ko, siya kaya ang nagbigay ng idea sa kin kung saan at pano ginagawa yun. she is a good listener-i remember 6 digits pa phone number nila sa nova-kahit me party line pa na kasabay ha-ang tagal ko sya kausap sa phone.most of the time i was the one talking, sya i think nakatulog na sa kakakinig sa kin-kung sinu-sino at kung anu-ano ang kinukwento ko-most of the time wala talagang kwenta-but still, she stayed on the line and listened. super simple lang sya kahit na well-off sila-but i think di talaga simple e,kuripot lang talaga sya.
when we reached high school, mas dumami friends namin, sila abi, tina, jing, ding, ronnette, ces, siena-(sila lang natira ngayon) but all of them belonged to other groups na nagsamasama lang forming one big group na nakaupo sa basement ng stc tuwing lunch.sa sobrang dami namin sa group, na-divide din into smaller groups-kasi naman diba, ang hirap magkwentuhan ng mga 15-20 yung mga kasama mo.at that time, medyo guys hindi nyo alam to, i was jealous of the other people in the group.kasi, i was used to having weng as my kakwentuhan, and then suddenly we werent able to talk anymore, di ba sad naman yun. ganun din yung nangyari samin ni ding-i was jealous din of other people na mahilig sa New Kids on the Block.nag-away pa nga kami.parang sira tuloy pakinggan-nagaway dahil sa NKOTB.

pero after those times, i realized na i shouldnt be jealous of other people, that i have to learn how to let go.medyo mahirap and super nakakasad pero i think that's life.people really come and go. and people really have to meet other people inorder to grow more as a person.

when we graduated in high school, 9 of us from that 1 big group made it a point to see each other during school breaks.buti na lang walang nagbago masyado. everytime we see each other, even to this day, parang walang nagbago.para pa rin kaming mga bata. maingay, madaldal.yun nga lang sa sobrang kilala nila ko, wala na kong makwento.

buti na lang din at ngayon lang si weng nagdecide to go to the states.kasi siguro if it had been a lot earlier-during college years- siguro i will really be devastated and cry a lot.sobrang tagal na kasi naming magkasama.buti na lang talaga at ngayon lang kung kelan mas mature na kami.parang wala ngang na-sad masyado nung last time na nagkita kaming lahat.no one shed a tear.puro tawanan lang.

im really happy with my friends.kahit nag-ookrayan at nagkakapikunan minsan, masaya pa rin ako that i belong to a group of great people.wala nga lang mga love life, but guys, i promise kahit matandang-matanda na tayo, i will always be here for you.friends forever.

Until March, Weng!

And so, Weng has left for the Land of Milk and Honey in search of greener pastures and green-eyed cows, este MEN.

But there's no goodbye yet. Remember, GOODBYE is a word that brings an end to things. I'd rather call it, Arividerci. Or "Until we meet again". And anyway, walang drama noh. She'll be flying back for a vacation in March 2007, hopefully. At lalong hopefully, sana matuloy ang aming planned (???) trip to Bohol or Palawan. Yun eh kung datung lang naman.

So well, guys, let's wish Weng a good journey. Kahit na nakarating na sya sa kanyang destination, our lives are all our journeys to take. Stop over lang yan, Weng...So, sana makita mo ang iyong dreams dyan, and we wish you all the best.
